A contemporary portrait painting of a nude male looking up at the light, by Sydney spiritual artist Leni Kae. This painting symbolises the freedom that comes with stripping back one’s layers and awakening to what lies at the core of the self; what brings one joy, what lights us up. The artwork was concepted during isolation and is very much a tribute to the paradox of having time alone; isolation-led introspection can be transformative on an emotional and spiritual level. Stripped of external noise and outside influence, we cannot hide from ourselves and our shadows. It however also reveals our light. There is a freedom in “finding the light”.
