Finalist, Whitewall Art Prize 2022

Leni Kae’s figurative portrait painting “Freedom Calling” is an online finalist in the Whitewall Art Prize 2022, themed ‘Into the Light’.

“Freedom Calling” is a contemporary portrait artwork on paper (42 x 59.4cm) by Sydney artist Leni Kae.

“The artwork is a tribute to the paradox of isolation; isolation-led introspection can be transformative on an emotional and spiritual level, resulting in inner freedom. In isolation, we cannot hide from ourselves. Deep introspection strips us back to our core, and this release is freeing. There is realisation, transformation.” – Leni Kae
